Hearing Tests

Tasmanian Centre for Hearing conduct a wide range of tests and screenings at our clinics in Hobart and Launceston.

When you book an appointment, our audiologist will spend a little time with you, talking to you about any issues you're having and  the outcomes you're looking for. Following this discussion, the audiologist will conduct testing to identify any underlying issues and find the best outcome for you.

Testing can help to identify which part of the hearing system is not working properly

Some of the more common types of testing can help to identify:

  • middle ear problems
  • inner ear issues
  • balance problems
  • tinnitus (ringing in the ear)
  • auditory processing problems ( when you can hear but  not always understand and / or remember what is said)
  • issues with clarity
  • problems with loud sounds being unpleasant or irritating

Tasmanian Centre for Hearing are also qualified to carry out industrial workplace hearing screens and tests

Don't wait to visit the clinic - often early detection can resolve problems before they cause damage.

Call (03) 6223 5444 and book an assessment with our qualified audiologist.
